This is intended for a split cd/ zine with the hardcore band Georgian <myspace.com/georgiangeorgian> This song is about regrettable relationships, and the drama that comes with them. I tried to write it as honestly as possible, The idea being I could seek some sort of closure. It turned out a vague metaphorical mess. I wanted the song to seem like it could be about playing guitar.
lyrics
Don't fret baby
no no baby don't fret
Does it hurt with my thumb on your neck
Why do I make you cry?
When conversations run dry,
it sounds like beautiful music
Me and you means me to me
you and me means "I guess I'll go play guitar"
truly babe you never offered me much more than
to get me off
It's kinda hard to feel out these fingerings
It feels damn good now but i know in hindsight it stings
kind of hard to maneuver around these strings
they snap at the roofs and tongues of our mouths
as we sing
shut your mouth, love
